Here we go with the first public release of the plugin V0.4. I have also posted it as a plugin for the Wordpress plugin competition.

Great plugin! I needed users to be able to upload files from within WordPress, so I added that functionality:

I thought you might be interested in adding it to the plugin.
It probably won't work for you "as-is" because it assumes a couple custom variables and functions exist, but the code is all there. All the changes I made are labeled "SoJ Edit" with comments.

I have now also uploaded this first version (0.4) to the wordpress.org plugin directory, you can find it here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-simpleviewer/
There is nothing new, I just had to change something on the readme because of the screenshots, that's why this version is now tagged with 0.4.1. So there is no need for anyone to upgrade to the newer version, however the download link on the frontpage does now also point to the wordpress.org file.
