Fatal error: Call to undefined function - What happened?

    I'm very new at this and don't really know what I'm doing. I've installed the plugin and when i access it from my wordpress options page I get this message:

    WP-SimpleViewer options
    <form name="form2" method="post" action="/mywebsite/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: attribute_escape() in /mnt/w0707/d09/s19/b0282656/www/mywebsite/wp-content/plugins/wp-simpleviewer/wp-simpleviewer.php on line 1043

    I'm also receiving the following error under my galleries page:

    Manage WP-SimpleViewer galleries

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: attribute_escape() in /mnt/w0707/d09/s19/b0282656/www/mywebsite/wp-content/plugins/wp-simpleviewer/wp-simpleviewer.php on line 591

    This plugin does only work with Wordpress 2.0.6 and above - I think that you are running a lower version, right?
    You have to upgrade your blog if you want to use the plugin, it is a plugin that is used for security purposes.
