  1. I am a very beginner at this and so I may be missing my answer in all my searching.
    If so, sorry.
I have just downloaded wp-simpleviewer and followed the directions to add my file of photos to the content/photos through FTP client and I made it writable to all.
I went back to my media section where simple viewer was and found my file of photos.
However, when I click on the create gallery files to the folder button, it sends an error message:
encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, support@supportwebsite.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

  2. Well, the server tells you to contact your administrator, so try if he can help you!

  3. I'm getting the same error. I contacted the administrators at Dreamhost and here's what they said:

I went ahead and traced the process and it looks like the it's simply
timing out from having too much to do. It's dying around the time it's
    processing the
    "/home/jpgd/jpetersongardendesign.com/wp-content/photos/portfolio/tn/Glassco4.jpg"
    and
    "/home/jpgd/jpetersongardendesign.com/wp-content/photos/portfolio/tn/Martinez1.jpg"
    files.

I have 29 images I want to use in the slide show. The 2 named above are the 16th and 17th. They're all ~120K-150K. Is this just too many images for the plugin?

  4. No, the timeout setting on your host is too low (or your server is too slow). However your provider doesn't seem to be willing to increase it. So you have to live with smaller galleries...

  5. Any other suggestion as far as a fix for this? Having same issue.

Godaddy is my host, I have Linux. Have most current version of WP and Wp-SimpleViewer. Have made galleries larger than that which I am currently trying to create without issue.

    My error:

Now I am working on file Parton013.jpg:
I have created the regular image and the thumbnail and now it has been added to the XML file!

Godaddy said this: Please note that we are unable to support third party application issues and we do not support the inner functionality of this program. If you are having difficulty using a third party product, we can help troubleshoot that process to the point that we find that the issue lies entirely within the configuration of that product. Please note you might be encountering permissions issues. Please ensure you have checked your file permissions. If you believe the issue is caused by something outside your control and within our system please reply and we will further review the issue.

Anything you can throw at me to help would be incredibly appreciated.
