   This is a major pain in the butt!! I am using simpleviewer for an artists website and they need to constantly add images but when they "create gallery files" to include new images added it removes all the captions.. It would be great if this could be modified.

   thanks for the drag and drop feature i havent installed the latest version yet but will be soon.

   the galleries are on www.jennyvalmadre.com.au website.

   I am also having trouble with the "edit captions and settings" function. I change the order by dragging and dropping and also change the captions. But, when I click on "Edit captions and settings for this gallery" button, the order and captions are lost. When i rebuild the gallery by selecting the gallery and clicking on the "Create gallery files for this folder" button, nothing changes on the resulting Simpleviewer display in my posting.....

   What am I doing wrong?? Is this a bug??

   like justpurple, captions are reinitialized when upgrade the gallery.

   is there a way to turn around ?

   When you click on "create gallery files" the old captions and settings are deleted. This is on my list for the next plugin version, but it will still take a while.

   But editing the captions and changing the order should work without problems...

   and thanks to the work of xinaesthetic, I update the latest version of wp-simpleviewer-admin.php to update gallerys with old captions.

   works only with php5, use .htaccess with SetEnv PHP_VER 5 to force it if needed.

   download it at http://www.netfr.org/wp-simpleviewer-admin.zip

   The only work to do is enable translation, here it comes with english hard coded.

   Markus: it would do much to restore my faith in open source software if you could incorporate this change at some point... it shouldn't be too hard to load a diff tool (I like Beyond Compare from http://www.scootersoftware.com/) and verify that the changes make sense.
