Caption problems and customization

  1. I installed the wp-simpleviewer plugin yesterday. It seems to be working well except for two things.

    1) With the exception of the first caption in a gallery of 12-images, the captions that I have put for my photos are not appearing, only the text "Show photo in full size".

    2) I'd like the photo captions to appear immediately below their images.

    3) I'd like to include a link to the website of the gallery image's creator. That is, if the image is submitted by John Public, I want the caption to appear as 'John Public, illustrator/designer' where the name John Public will link to John Public's site.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks for an amazing plugin.

  2. Update on item 1) in my original post... the image captions are now appearing. That leaves only 2) and 3) which are relocating the image captions to appear below the image of focus and being able to incorporate URLs in the image captions.

    Thanks in advance!

  3. Hmm..with these specific request you will have to manually edit the xml file and change the links and captions accordingly.
You can only change the position of the caption when you have buyed the Pro version of SimpleViewer where yo ucan change the flash file as you like.

  4. I should clarify... I'm using wp-simpleviewer. Does it offer the same flexibility that you describe as existing in the Pro version? Alternatively, does the Pro version function as a WP plugin in the same way as wp-simpleviewer?

    Thanks,

  5. Is anyone able to guide me on how to configure wp-simpleconfig to move the image caption to appear below the image of focus and how to add URLs to the caption text?

    Thanks!

  6. You can get the Pro version of SimpleViewer here: http://www.airtightinteractive.com/simpleviewer/pro/

If you have customized your swf file the way you like you just have to replace the swf fie in the plugin's Directory with your modded file.

  7. Does the Pro version integrate into WP as a plugin the same way the WP version does?

  8. You just change the swf file that is delivered with this plugin, the rest is the same.
