Can't change global image size

On my "manage WP-Simple Viewer Galleries" page on WordPress, there seem to be global settings (image size, etc) and then each gallery has it's own settings (color, captions, etc). When I try to change the global settings, i.e. image size, every time I go back to the main global page it's back to 300px wide, even if I've changed it to 500px. I don't see that you can change the image size on each individual gallery, so I'm assuming I have to do it on the global settings page.

I also changed the default caption, but every time I go back to the page it's back to the "Show image in full size". I'm more concerned with the image sizes though as they're showing up at 300px and I can't seem to change it. Is there a way to force the width of images directly in the code vs. doing it through WordPress's manage page?

    Thanks!

  2. All default settings can be changed on the plugin's settings page, not on the manage page. You find this page in the manu under settings > WP-Simpleviewer.

got the same problem here when i change it under "settings" my options are shown there, but at "Bildordner" (don´t know how it is call in english) are allways the defalut settings with 300px, 85% ect. I can change them global, it doesn´t do like it shoud, i allways have to change when i make a new gallery.
