  1. I have uploaded a gallery on a page, i can see the thumbnails, but i see a big white "X" above the thumbnails where the first picture should be showing me a larger view. What have i done wrong?

I love the plugin - i'm not too much of a guru so i was excited to see how simple and easy it was to install thank you very much!

  2. Looks like the big images have not been created. Do they exist on the filesystem or did you receive any error message during the creation?

  5. I'm having the same problem, except both thumbs and large image is not showing up. Just "X". I wish people would post their solution if they find one - to share with the rest of us. Anyone know the solution to this? Thanks a bunch. Great plug-in, by the way Markus. Thanks!

  8. I'm getting this message:

GD library version 2 or later is required. You are running version: bundled (2.0.28 compatible)

Now the images and XML file for the selected folder will be created:

The directory you selected does not contain any jpg or png files. Please upload them first (and ignore the rest of the page)!

I'm also getting another message below that:

No images found in the xml file. Please check that there are image files in the directory!

I guess the only thing left to do is re-upload the images folder and see what happens. It seems it's creating the XML file but it's empty. The images are there.

  9. Now the message sounds like there are not jpg files at all in the selected folder!?

  10. For some reason something is deleting my images in my "images" folder. I've loaded them twice and then ran the WP-Simpleviewer to generate the xml and thumbs. But I keep getting this message.

Here's an idea... what if I generate the "images" and "thumbs" folder, as well as the xml file and upload them myself? Why can't I call it in my post as svgallery=folder_name? Is there a way to do this? It seems this would be easier for me and trouble-free.

    Thanks!

  11. When you recreate a gallery all files in the folders images and thumbs are deleted to be able to start from scratch. So you have to upload the original image files to the folder of the gallery, create the xml file and thumbs and then you can replace replace the images and thumbs folder with the ones you created locally.

when your folders are called images and thumbs, do you have that configured in the plugin's option page or are the settings there still set to regand tn?

  12. The problem I'm getting is - it seems to create the xml file, but it's empty. So even if I re upload the images and thumbs, I have an empty xml file. Of course, every time I try to generate the xml and thumbs it deletes the images. It's like I'm going in circles.

reg and tn seems to be the default. So I've tried changing it to images and thumbs, then I generate the files. I've also tried leaving the reg and tn alone - - no luck.

But back to my original question about generating my own images and thumbs folder and xml file - maybe a code would be written so the plugin would recognize it and display it via svgallery=folder call. Unfortunately, I'm not good enough with php.

  13. Yes, you can upload the files yourself and then the plugin will also show them, should not be any problem. Just make sure that you have the full path to the images in the XML file and that is is called gallery.xml

  14. I have the same problem. Big white X's show up and I have done a number of things to try and fix it.

The strangest thing is that I only see it on my Firefox browser and Safari... it tends to work for IE and Chrome.
