   Hello again,

   Perhaps you know the solution to this.

   I have a gallery folder which I will be adding new pics to every week. This week, I dragged the new image into the folder using FTP

   Then went into the "Manage WP-SimpleViewer galleries" tab, selected the gallery, clicked "Create Gallery Files for this Folder" and it brought in the newly added file... great!

   BUT, in the process, it ERASED all the captions I had written for the previously existing images.

   How can I add new pics each week and NOT LOSE the captions I wrote.

   Yes, several writers here already addressed it but I was not able to implement this yet. But it is one the list of the most wanted features!

   Markus,

   Oh, thank you so much, it will be a great feat if you can pull it off. I'm not sure what kind of work-around I can use as far as displaying a caption. I'll think of something.

   it would be great to be able to upload the images through wordpress too for people not familiar with ftp?

   Have you found a way to keep caption settings when adding new images to the galleries?

   No, but there is a lot of demand for in and I think that after summer has ended I will start a big plugin update with this included.
