Using WP-Simpleviewer with NextGEN Gallery and Flashviewer. Created a post AND new page and inserted SimpleViewer image gallery. Can't resize the too small main image; the arrows on each side of image appear outside of the image (maybe it's supposed to be that way?) and; although I have set the options/settings to center the SimpleViewer horizontally and vertically, it is still un-centered.

Hi,

I recently was able to successfully link a set from my Flickr to be displayed in my blog via Simpleviewer. When I checked it today, all I get is a blank background and SV seems to be loading but the images are not being displayed.

Link to my gallery: http://daniel.quitoriano.org/?page_id=531

I haven't changed any settings before this happened. Again, this was working previously and no changes had been made on my end. I'd like to know if anyone can direct me on what to look into in order to troubleshoot this. Is it possible that the problem lies where I host my WP blog? With Flickr? With Wordpress? With the plugins?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

This worked for me - your mileage may vary.

I was having the same issues as most on the many forums with just X's or nothing showing up when i viewed my site from the web.

After umpteen re-dos i did a simple edit to the .htaccess file on the web server. If you have your settings to block Hot Linking - this is probably the problem - it was for me. When i set this to NO - my site worked like i had expected.

Example:
# Use PHP5 as default
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php

RewriteEngine on (Set this to Off)

Here is a link that explains the .htaccess files:
http://www.javascriptkit.com/howto/htaccess10.shtml

There may be a way to still have the Hot Linking Block set to On - but i have not got that far yet.

After looking through the posts on this site, I still can't figure out my problem. I am not that experienced in html.
I used Photoshop CS3 to create my SimpleViewer gallery. It made the large and thumbnail images and put them in folders into my site folder, along with gallery.xml, swfobject.js, and viewer.swf, and an index page. After placing the Flash file into my Dreamweaver page, I preview in Firefox and get Gallery Not Found. After looking at the code for the viewer.swf in Dreamweaver, I noticed that there is no reference to the images or thumbs folder, or the gallery.xml. How do I fix this?

This is all the code for the SimpleViewer that is in the Dreamweaver code:

\\*AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase','http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,28,0','width','780','height','580','src','images/viewer','quality','high','pluginspage','http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash','movie','images/viewer' ); //end AC code
